Welcome! Palmerston Place is a Church of Scotland congregation with an evangelical ministry based in the West End of the centre of Edinburgh. We seek to give glory to God in worship, to make the good news of Jesus known to all, to build community, and to develop and grow as Christians. A joint service began outside the North Door of St Mary’s Cathedral. The fire is kindled, the Paschal Candle is marked and lit, and we enter the darkened Cathedral, gradually lighting our own candles as we sing, three times: The Light of Christ! Thanks be to God!
A team of volunteers decorated the church for Easter Sunday with posies they made from materials bought by them or picked from their gardens.
On a Sunday in May senior members of the church were taken by volunteer drivers to Peebles Hydro for high tea, followed by a short service of worship before the drive home. It’s a special outing that’s been happening for many years and which everyone looks forward to.
