Posted by Fraser | No Comments »Palmerston Place members joined the dawn service at St Mary’s at Easter. After the Service of Light outside, the gathering continued into the Cathedral to celebrate the Eucharist. Afterwards there was breakfast in the Chapter House.



Flowers brightened the church for Easter. And there were flowers on leaving for those who were unable to get to church and for all who’d appreciate them.




A coffee morning was held on March 28 to raise money to help youngsters who could not find the cost of attending Scripture Union Holiday camp. About £780 was raised.

Operation Christmas Child
Posted by Fraser | No Comments »Operation Christmas Child’s Shoebox Appeal brought in 277 shoeboxes from church attenders and folks in the neighbourhood. The boxes, filled with gifts, are for children in Belarus. Every one will make a child feel special and valued and will let them know that someone cares about them this Christmas. The organisers are delighted with the response.

The Quilt With No Name
Posted by Fraser | No Comments »It has been made by the Palmerston Place Church Sewing Group and the congregation have been challenged to find a name! Suggestions at £1 a try are still being added to a list of around 50. The money collected will be going to Fresh Start.

National Gathering
Posted by Fraser | No Comments »The Palmerston Place tent at the National Gathering held at the beginning of May at Ingliston. The tent was used to tell the Palmerston Place story – and stories – and after the event is being used with the hundreds of others at Ingliston for international relief by aid agencies. The display was moved back to Palmerston Place so it could be shared with those that didn’t make it to the National Gathering.
