Friendship Club

The Friendship Club is a friendly meeting place for senior citizens. It is open to anyone, with or without a Church connection, whether living in the district or farther afield. Members can attend every week or just once in a while.

Scrabble, dominoes and card games are favourites at the club – followed by a cup of tea and some delicious home baking. Occasionally there’s music and entertainment. During all of these a lot of chatting goes on – seen as the most important part of the meeting! At Christmas there is usually a party lunch and in summer a trip on a bus for lunch somewhere nice.

The main aim of the Friendship Club is to provide a relaxed, friendly and welcoming meeting place for senior citizens. At present there are sixteen members. There is always a smiling face waiting to welcome others.

Thursday afternoons 2.00 – 3.30pm (September-May). Ground Floor of Annan House, 10 Palmerston Place.
